Dear Maharajas, Matajis, and Prabhus,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
Come join us on Saturday, February 18 from 1:00 - 4:30 p.m. for the 4th of Srila Prabhupada's Monthly Sankirtana Festivals (MSFs) in New York City! We will be INSIDE the Union Square subway station like last time.
Location: INSIDE Union Square subway station (entrance at corner of 14 St. and Union Sq. W./University Place).
Date: Saturday, February 18
Time: 1:00-4:30 P.M.
DIRECTIONS IN ATTACHED FILE (Please print out directions and take with you to MSF)
This is a wonderful opportunity to come spend time with one another to share our rich spiritual culture with others! Come out and join Srila Prabhupada’s sankirtana party, and be part of the kirtan group and/or help distribute books. Anyone who participates in this public sankirtana process gets so much extra mercy that it can only be verified by those who have the experience. So, let’s have the experience!
Please dress in warm clothes (coat, scarf, gloves, hat, long underwear, thick socks, etc.). However, it is not so cold inside the subway station.
Last month our MSF was ecstatic. There were over 30 devotees. Kirtans were amazing. We distributed over 120 of Srila Prabhupada’s books and 500 cookies.
Atmanivedana das and Subhangada dasi organize this monthly festival. Please contact Atma and Subhie to confirm that you will participate or to ask any questions. You can reach Atma and Subhie by e-mail at email@example.com. We can give you our phone #, if you like.
Your humble servant,
”Whatever progress we have made, it is simply due to distributing the books. So go on, and do not divert your mind for a moment from this.”
Letter to Ramesvara, October 11, 1974
“Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu indicates that the distribution of the Hare Krsna maha-mantra should be performed by combined forces. Although He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead, He laments, ‘How can I act alone? How can I alone pick the fruit and distribute it all over the world?’.... This indicates that all classes of devotees should combine to distribute the Hare Kṛṣṇa maha-mantra without consideration of the time, place or situation.”
